- These factories are integrated into a value network in which the production capacities of different organizations are perfectly synchronized and connected through flexible and transparent supply networks. Automated services with the same focus are provided via the Internet.
- Industrial organizations have integrated and interoperable information and management systems and generate data from all their relevant processes. This enables them to create virtual models of their operations to optimize them, simulate new processes and products, improve planning, access information on the entire lifecycle of a specific item in their production, and offer and receive new value-added services.
