The future skyscraper that could become the world's tallest would be located in the city of Basra, Iraq's second-largest city. The building would be over one kilometer tall—specifically, 1,152 meters. This would place it at number one on the list of the tallest towers in the world.
This high-rise building would surpass the one that currently holds the title of the world's tallest, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, in Dubai, which stands 828 meters tall, as well as the future Kingdom Tower, expected to be completed in 2019 in Saudi Arabia, which will be the first to exceed one kilometer in height.
The Bride Tower has been designed to be able to make the most of natural energy and it would also include solar panels, hybrid systems, solar systems, and photovoltaic systems, with the aim of ensuring that the building could operate sustainably, should it be built.
This building would be consisting of 4 towers that would be connected and inside, we might find hotels, offices, schools, clinics, parks, shopping centers, and other services, thus creating a vertical city with about 230 floors.
The project was designed by the architectural firm AMBS, and no construction start date has been set yet.
