ACS, through its subsidiary Clece, has been awarded the contract to provide cleaning services for all buildings under the jurisdiction of National Heritage for a period of two years, with a total value of 6.72 million euros. The group chaired by Florentino P\u00e9rez will thus be responsible for cleaning the Royal Palace in Madrid, the Royal Palace of El Pardo, El Escorial, and the Valley of the Fallen, according to official data compiled by Europa Press.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The contract also calls for keeping the Royal Palace of Aranjuez clean, those located in La Granja and Riofr\u00edo, in Segovia; the Almud\u00e1ina Palace in Palma de Mallorca; the Royal Monastery of Yuste; the Royal Alc\u00e1zar of Seville; and the Royal Residence of La Mareta, in Lanzarote. The ACS subsidiary will thus be responsible for cleaning buildings and facilities with a total area of nearly 442,000 square meters. In addition to the main palaces and buildings, Clece will also be responsible for the associated premises, outbuildings, courtyards, and gardens.<\/p>\n
Thus, the company is responsible for cleaning the Jard\u00edn de Pr\u00edncipe de Aranjuez and all the buildings that house the services and offices of El Escorial. The contract also specifies the specific cleaning tasks required in connection with the approximately fifty official and ceremonial events scheduled to take place in these buildings. With this contract, ACS\u2019s multiservice subsidiary strengthens its contract portfolio, having secured in recent years part of the contract for cleaning Renfe trains and the contract for managing public buildings in several districts of Madrid.<\/p>\n
With a workforce of approximately 68,000 employees, Clece closed the 2013 fiscal year with revenue of 1,219 million euros, up 7% from the previous year. Cleaning and interior services, along with social services, are the company\u2019s two main sources of revenue, accounting for 77% of total revenue.<\/p>\n
