The Energy Technology Institute (ITE) will develop a technological tool to optimize energy management in the services, industrial, and building sectors. This automated information and communications platform will help reduce costs and increase profits.<\/p>\n
The REGEENER platform will focus on analyzing, improving, and properly maintaining the productivity and performance of the main integrated energy assets in facilities, industrial plants, and buildings across the Services, Industry, and Building sectors\u2014whether related to consumption, generation, or storage\u2014since new energy applications, with the advent of Smart Grids, now demand it. <\/p>\n
The goal is for this tool to enable energy managers, owners, and users to substantially improve their understanding of the condition and productive energy management of their energy assets associated with facilities, industrial plants, and buildings. This advanced management will improve performance by optimizing proper operation and uptime, reducing costs, and increasing profits.<\/p>\n
In addition, this will help minimize management costs, increase the appeal of investing in energy-efficient infrastructure, and improve related maintenance, including predictive techniques for energy analysis and anomaly detection.<\/p>\n
Once the platform has been developed, a real-world pilot will be implemented and tested in the Services sector, specifically at a supermarket, where the proposed concept will be tested and validated using the facilities that are most representative in terms of energy consumption. In addition, a feasibility analysis will be conducted, and the methodology and technological tool developed will be extrapolated for implementation in the other two sectors: Industry and Building.<\/p>\n
