Este puente es atravesado por miles de autom\u00f3viles diariamente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentedelas-americas-9.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"puentedelas americas\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Puente de Las Am\u00e9ricas, que cuenta con un dise\u00f1o de arco de modill\u00f3n, tiene una<strong> longitud de unos 1.654 metros<\/strong> y una <strong>anchura inferior a los 11 m<\/strong>, aproximadamente. <strong>Su punto m\u00e1s alto se encuentra a unos 117 metros sobre el nivel medio del mar<\/strong>. El material m\u00e1s utilizado en su construcci\u00f3n fue el <strong>acero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentedelas-americas1-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"puentedelas americas1\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La construcci\u00f3n de este puente comenz\u00f3 en diciembre del a\u00f1o 1958 y tuvo una duraci\u00f3n de unos cuatro a\u00f1os, siendo inaugurado el d\u00eda 12 de octubre del 1962. Antes de su construcci\u00f3n, exist\u00eda un sistema de ferry que comunicaba ambas orillas, emplazado en el mismo lugar. Este sistema fue el medio de conexi\u00f3n existente durante un periodo de unos 30 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentedelas-americas2-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" alt=\"puentedelas americas2\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La construcci\u00f3n tuvo un coste de unos 20 millones de d\u00f3lares y el motivo de su construcci\u00f3n fue la necesidad de unir ambas orillas para que el canal pudiese ser atravesado por veh\u00edculos autom\u00f3viles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>estructura de acero del Puente de Las Am\u00e9ricas es de casi 17 toneladas<\/strong>.
