Para ahorrar dinero, las dos secciones principales en voladizo son completamente iguales, incluyendo los \u00e1ngulos, lo que provoca el descenso en su parte central y provocando que muchos comparen el dise\u00f1o del puente con el de una monta\u00f1a rusa.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Richmondsanrafael3-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\" alt=\"Richmondsanrafael3\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La construcci\u00f3n del puente termin\u00f3 en septiembre de 1956, sustituy\u00e9ndose el servicio de ferry que era necesario utilizar para cruzar la Bah\u00eda de San Francisco. En el momento de su inauguraci\u00f3n, Richmond-San Rafael, fue uno de los puentes m\u00e1s largos del mundo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Richmondsanrafael2-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" alt=\"Richmondsanrafael2\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el a\u00f1o 2001 se llev\u00f3 a cabo en el puente Richmond-San Rafael un <strong>programa de reforzamiento s\u00edsmico<\/strong>. El nombre oficial de esta construcci\u00f3n es \u00abJohn F.
