La mayor parte de este puente est\u00e1 construido en acero.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentepamban-7.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" alt=\"puentepamban\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">Es un puente que en su parte central cuenta con un tramo en voladizo que se abre cuando es necesario, con el fin de no interrumpir el tr\u00e1fico mar\u00edtimo. Este tramo hasta hace poco tiempo era abierto manualmente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este puente fue construido durante el dominio brit\u00e1nico y la obra tuvo una duraci\u00f3n aproximada de 3 a\u00f1os. Se encuentra operativo desde 1914 y fue el primer puente de India sobre el mar. En el a\u00f1o 1964 un cicl\u00f3n tropical causo algunos da\u00f1os graves en \u00e9l, que fueron solucionados en un periodo relativamente corto de tiempo. Actualmente, <strong>es el segundo puente m\u00e1s largo del pa\u00eds construido sobre el mar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentepamban1-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" alt=\"puentepamban1\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al tratarse de un puente sobre el que circula una l\u00ednea ferroviaria, en el a\u00f1o 2007 fue modificado el ancho de v\u00eda del servicio.
