Los trabajos de construcci\u00f3n de este impresionante puente comenzaron en el a\u00f1o 1988 y tuvieron una duraci\u00f3n de 10 a\u00f1os, ya que las obras fueron interrumpidas por el temor de que la construcci\u00f3n del puente da\u00f1ase el tr\u00e1fico mar\u00edtimo del estrecho Gran Belt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentegranbelt1-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" alt=\"puentegranbelt1\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Gran Belt, al que tambi\u00e9n se le conoce con el nombre de puente de Oriente, fue dise\u00f1ado por el estudio de arquitectura Dissing Weitling, eligiendo una infraestructura que permitiese el desplazamiento por carretera o por ferrocarril. Esto provoco que tuviera un coste de 21.400 millones de coronas danesas, lo que le ha convertido en la<strong> mayor obra de Dinamarca<\/strong>. La obra incluye un t\u00fanel submarino por el que la l\u00ednea ferroviaria de doble v\u00eda cruza el estrecho.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/puentegranbelt4-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" alt=\"puentegranbelt4\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su construcci\u00f3n trajo consigo un gran beneficio para los habitantes daneses, ya que redujo en gran medida el tiempo de viaje empleado para llegar de una isla a otra. Antes el viaje en ferry podr\u00eda durar cerca de una hora, ahora el tiempo empleado para viajar entre Selandia y Fionia ha quedado reducido a 10 minutos.
