Se inaugur\u00f3 en el mes de Octubre de 2011, aunque fue en el mes de mayo de ese mismo a\u00f1o cuando comenz\u00f3 a ser operativa.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Se trata de la primera planta comercial de energ\u00eda solar t\u00e9rmica y tiene la capacidad de producir energ\u00eda a m\u00e1xima potencia durante las 24 horas del d\u00eda, en ausencia de radiaci\u00f3n solar o en d\u00edas nublados.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Esta tecnolog\u00eda consiste en una <strong>torre central con receptor de sales<\/strong> y <strong>2.500 heliostatos<\/strong> alrededor, encargados de reflejar la luz y que est\u00e1n instalados sobre una <strong>superficie de 185 hect\u00e1reas<\/strong>. La potencia el\u00e9ctrica nominal de Gemasolar es de 19,9 megavatios.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gemasolar1-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"368\" alt=\"gemasolar1\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Esta planta de energ\u00eda renovable es capaz de generar la energ\u00eda necesaria para <strong>alimentar<\/strong> a <strong>25.000 hogares<\/strong> y de <strong>reducir la emisi\u00f3n de 30.000 toneladas de di\u00f3xido de carbono al a\u00f1o<\/strong>. Con Gemasolar se asegura una producci\u00f3n de <strong>energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica de 6.500 horas al a\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/gemasolar-9.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"391\" alt=\"gemasolar\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 30px; font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Planta_Gemasolar_funcionamiento\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #b22b3b; font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Planta Gemasolar: funcionamiento<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>El funcionamiento de la planta consiste en el <strong>bombeo de sales fr\u00edas<\/strong> hasta la parte alta de la torre central desde un tanque situado en la parte inferior de \u00e9sta.
