That is why various countries set aside a special day to honor those who practice it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>Spain<\/strong>, the reference date is World Architecture Day, which is celebrated each year on <strong>the first Monday in October <\/strong>on the initiative of the International Union of Architects (UIA). In addition, the patron saint of Spanish architects is <strong>Our Lady of Bethlehem During Her Flight into Egypt<\/strong>, whose feast day is celebrated after Epiphany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>Latin America<\/strong>, each country has set its own date:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Argentina<\/strong>: July 1, recognized by the Argentine Federation of Architects' Associations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mexico<\/strong>: October 1, by presidential decree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chile<\/strong>: August 4, the day the Chilean College of Architects was founded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peru<\/strong>: June 8, marking the founding of the Peruvian College of Architects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Colombia<\/strong>: October 19, established by the Colombian Society of Architects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Venezuela<\/strong>: July 4, in honor of the founding of the Venezuelan Society of Architects in 1945.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFPor_que_se_celebra_el_dia_del_arquitecto\"><\/span><strong>Why is Architect's Day celebrated?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The origins of Architect's Day date back to the <strong>the 1940s in Mexico<\/strong>.
