{"id":7554,"date":"2024-12-03T08:51:01","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T07:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/el-gran-ojo-de-ijssel"},"modified":"2026-03-27T13:49:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T12:49:15","slug":"el-gran-ojo-de-ijssel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/en\/el-gran-ojo-de-ijssel\/","title":{"rendered":"The Great Eye of IJssel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ojo de Ijssel es un enorme hoyo circular construido sobre una isla artificial que se encuentra situada en el centro del Lago Ketelmeer, en el que desagua el r\u00edo Ijssel, en Pa\u00edses Bajos, y su funci\u00f3n es actuar como pozo para el dep\u00f3sito de sedimentos altamente contaminados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre los a\u00f1os 1950 y 1990 el lago Ketelmeer estaba muy contaminado como consecuencia de los residuos industriales procedentes de las diferentes f\u00e1bricas de la zona, haciendo que este lago fuera uno de los lugares m\u00e1s contaminados de la hidrograf\u00eda de Europa. Entonces el gobierno de este pa\u00eds, ante el temor de que esto provocase la contaminaci\u00f3n del agua subterr\u00e1nea o del lago \u0132sselmeer, decidi\u00f3 crear esta estructura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ijsseloog1-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"ijsseloog1\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ojo de Ijssel puede almacenar <strong>m\u00e1s de 20 millones de metros c\u00fabicos de sedimento<\/strong>, siendo el<strong> di\u00e1metro del pozo de un kil\u00f3metro<\/strong> y contando con una<strong> profundidad de 45 metros<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s dispone de un terrapl\u00e9n de 10 metros que rodea la estructura que evita que se produzcan fugas.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.structuralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ijsseloog-7.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"ijsseloog\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su construcci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1996 y termin\u00f3 tres a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 1999.
