The trend set by countries such as the United Kingdom and Spain, of <strong>make BIM mandatory for all public works projects<\/strong>, is proving to be the right decision, as more and more countries are joining this initiative. We specifically analyze the situation of the <strong>BIM in Mexico<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">This is the case in Mexico, which is following in the footsteps of its neighbors\u2014Colombia, Chile, and Argentina\u2014in enacting legislation on the <span style=\"color: #ff3b49;\">BIM implementation<\/span>. These three countries are leading the way in the application of this methodology in South America, and now Mexico is beginning to set the government machinery in motion to accelerate the adoption of BIM in the public works construction sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">In the academic sphere, they have taken the first steps by introducing<strong> BIM as a Required Course<\/strong> at universities such as the Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey, the Universidad Iberoamericana, La Salle University, UNAM, and the Autonomous Universities of Yucat\u00e1n, Chihuahua, and Nuevo Le\u00f3n.
