Construction of the third bridge across the Bosporus Strait in Turkey, which will connect Europe and Asia, will be completed in 2016. Many say that this will be the the world's widest new suspension bridge, with a width of 59 meters, making it one of the symbols of modern Turkey.

Istanbul's third bridge will feature two towers, 322 and 318 meters tall, approximately. French engineer Michel Virlogeux describes the structure as a combination of a suspension bridge and a cable-stayed bridge.
Construction on this impressive bridge began in 2013, with a a cost of about 1.9 billion euros, and it is scheduled to be completed in 2016. The bridge will be named ‘Selim the Brave.’.
