The Ministry of Public Works, according to a publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE), has entered into a service contract for the performance of various maintenance and operation activities on roads in
Madrid. The contract amount is 49,303,277.27 euros.
Service contracts for the performance of maintenance and operations on the State Highway Network are intended to provide communications services, monitoring services, accident response, and maintenance of the road components, systematic maintenance of electrical power supply systems, street lighting, variable message signs, and traffic signals.
In addition, the scope includes conducting inventories and condition surveys, maintaining a log of road condition and operational status, scheduling, coordination,
monitoring and reporting on the progress of the work, operational support activities, accident studies, and road safety reports.
In addition, work will be carried out to clear brush, mill the pavement, and resurface the road, as well as to clean ditches and, in general, perform all routine maintenance tasks on the roads under its jurisdiction.
The roads referred to in the contract are:
- A-1, Northern Expressway, from km 12,000 to 101,000. Section: M- Interchange40-Santo Tomé del Puerto.
- N-320 from pk. 317,000 to 341,200. Section: L.P. Guadalajara-Venturada.
- A-1a from mile marker 40.700 to 46.600. El Molar access road and crossroads.
- N-Ia from mile marker 55,000 to 57,000. Cabanillas Access.
- N-Ia from mile marker 72,000 to 77,500. Access road and Buitrago crossing.
- N-Ia from mile marker 91.100 to 93.400. Access and through route to Somosierra.
- N-Ia from mile marker 98.700 to 100.000. Access and Santo Tomé crossing.
- N-Ia from mile marker 92.600 to 95.900. Somosierra Service Road.
