With an investment of C$300 million, the Road Maintenance Fund (Fomav) launched the first bidding process of the year, which corresponds to item 41% of the 2015 Annual Plan, totaling 3,672.23 kilometers, covering 54 road sections throughout the country, the institution reported in a press release.

The announcement also states that maintenance work will soon begin on the 82.5-kilometer stretch of highway between Izapa, León, Chinandega, and Corinto, and will last for four years. The project will cost C$210 million, funded entirely by FOMAV’s own resources.
The official statement also notes that another major project Fomav will be launching in 2015 is the reinforcement of the pavement structure along a 40-kilometer stretch of the Juigalpa-El Rama highway.
