The TEV (Tracked Electric Vehicle) project is designed to allow electric and hybrid cars to recharge while traveling on an automated highway by moving along metal rails. This alternative would help reduce pollution.
On this type of road, vehicles could travel at higher speeds than on conventional roads, reaching speeds of about 190 kilometers per hour, with greater safety, since problems such as driving in adverse weather conditions or encountering an animal on the road would no longer exist.

Another advantage this would bring is that the construction of these would have a lower cost than other transportation infrastructure. In addition, this would result in a reduction in emissions of air pollutants.
The TEV project has about smaller dimensions than conventional roads. This would allow for the use of existing roads, without the need to build them in a new location.

The entire operation would be controlled by a computer; the user would enter a destination code, and the vehicle would automatically travel to that location, eliminating the most common cause of traffic accidents: human error. Upon arriving at its destination, the vehicle would be fully charged.
