The Queensferry Crossing is currently under construction on the Firth of Forth, near the Forth Road Bridge, in Scotland. This cable-stayed bridge has become the world's largest balanced cantilever structure, with a length of 644 meters.
The total length of the structure will be 2,700 meters long, with spans of nearly 650 meters, and will feature three towers about 207 meters tall, approximately. The bridge will have two lanes in each direction. The cable-stayed structure is about 40 meters wide.
This cable-stayed bridge is the highest in the entire United Kingdom. Its construction involved the use of approximately 10,000 metric tons of steel and a few 20,000 metric tons of concrete, with more than 150 segments.
